Advertising: How do I ask friends/family to host an
event?

In addition to hosting event you might want to ask friends, family, or co-
workers to host an event.  Here are some suggestions for you to use:

  • If you are hosting an event yourself, consider asking friends or
    family members in other areas to also host an event.  You could try
    to plan your events on the same day to generate excitement that
    this is being done all over the country on the same day.  

  • Explain to your friends or family that you are involved in an
    organization (NOVA) that is on the forefront of raising funds for
    PHACES.  Tell them (if they don’t know already) what your
    involvement is with PHACES and how it has impacted your life.  
    Share about our goal of raising $15,000 and that it will be used to
    put on a conference to help educate families about PHACES.  It
    will also be used to help fund new medical research efforts.

  • We can put together a letter that people could use, but I wanted to
    get feedback from the committee first (or maybe even have
    someone volunteer to write one).
