starting point for your event planning:

starting point for your event planning:
- Host a Sunday brunch (if the weather is fabulous, have mimosas on
the deck!) - Create a wine tasting evening with cheeses and other delicacies
from around the world (roasted peppers and mozzarella with Italian
wine, Spanish olives with Spanish wine, etc.) - Have an old fashioned BBQ with hot dogs, hamburgers, and apple
pie. - Host a movie night, NFL season kick-off party, or Super Bowl
party. - Host a game night. Have everyone bring their favorite board
games. - Have a poker night…the winnings going NOVA or an entry fee is
paid to play. - Throw an old fashioned party…just let it all hang out for the night
(well, maybe not all). - Host a pot luck dinner with a theme (Mexican, Italian, Middle
Eastern) and have everyone bring their recipes to share. - Create a carnival for your neighborhood.
- Ask those attending an already planned upcoming event (holiday
party, Halloween party, Thanksgiving dinner) to make it into a
fundraiser for NOVA - Have a potluck lunch at your office with your co-workers.
Consider doing it during the holidays so that there is a theme and a
feeling of giving - Raffle off a skill that you have (i.e. if you are a massage therapist,
raffle off a series of 3 massages. If you are good with taxes, raffle
off assistance during tax season. - Raffle off a TV and sell tickets at work or your kids school.
